RANGER- Beatrice Louise Rose (West), 81, formerly of Ranger died Wednesday September 27 at her home after a lengthy illness. Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 30, 2006 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Rose was born in Laurel, Mississippi on September 6, 1925 to Porter and Willie West. She married Owen Ed Rose on May 14, 1943 in Laurel. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Ranger General Hospital Auxiliary in 1974 and of the Ranger Ex's Association and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and all types of hand work.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn and her husband Clyde Braddock, Shirley and her husband Jimmy Cole and Neita Melton of Ranger, one son, Johnny and his wife Joy Rose of Granbury, her mother Willie West, and four brothers, Roy and wife Daisy Nell, Harold and wife Lecia West, Robert and wife Barbara West, and Haskel Wes, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren.
