Andrew E. Day, 92, of Monessen, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Easy Living Estates, Hunker. Born in Trafford on Aug. 23, 1909, Mr. Day had been a resident of Monessen most of his adult life. He retired from the fabric department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mr. Day was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Day; one brother, Michael Day; and one sister Ann Nussbaumer. Survivors include his wife, Marion Seliga Day; one daughter, Michelle Verosko of Greensburg; one daughter-in-law, Carol Gayman of Jefferson; five grandchildren, Jessica and Neil Verosko, Beth Blankenhorn, and Mathew and Nathaniel Day; two great-grandchildren, Eva and Paige Blankenhorn; and one sister, Katherine Belavich of Florida. Friends will be received Tuesday in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME, Monessen. Services for the Dead will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., followed by a parish rosary in the funeral home. A blessing service will be held Wednesday, May 22, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Liturgy in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Andrew D. Parvensky officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
