George Addison was born 1905 near Marco Island, Florida, on George Island, which was then in Lee County,Florida. George was the son of Albert Benjamin Addison and Charity (Newell) Addison of Marco. He was a fisherman on Marco in his early years, then later made a living as a carpenter. He had a life-long love of gardening and ran a small plant nursery from his home after he retired. He passed away in 1989 in Naples Community Hospital while surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He and Lessie had 5 children together.
