She is survived by: her husband, John Houston “Jack” Brooks, whom she married October 1, 1955; her children, Michael Ray (Debra) Brooks, of Bardstown, Raye Jean (Clarke) Hopper, of Maysville, Kimberly Ann (Randy) Figgins, of Berlin, Jo Lynn (Greg) Jett, of Maysville, and John Asbury (Melissa) Brooks, of Maysville; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mae Jo (Allen) Flaugher, Brooksville; one sister-in-law, Fannie Lou Shoemaker Hedgecock, Maysville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her brother, William Ward Hedgecock; and two sisters, Ruth Faye Penrod and Mary Miller Moon.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery in Bracken County. Memorials may be made to Willow Baptist Church or Hospice of Hope.
