Age 59, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 6, 1957 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Eddie Abraham and Willie Ruth (O’Neal) Byrd. Dianne had a loving marriage to Frankie Robinson and he survives. She was a loyal member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years and her service to the Lord and her Church provided her with immense joy. Dianne was a longtime member of her nursing sorority Chi Eta Phi, as well as an active member of the community. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include: her husband, Frankie; four children, Deanne Byrd of Orangeburg, SC, Brittany Robinson of Baton Rouge, LA, Corey and Micah Robinson, both of Ypsilanti; two stepchildren, Tiwana Hurst and Tameika Potts; cousin Devon (Kristi) Butler of St. Augustine, FL; cousin Gertha Butler of Inkster, MI; three siblings, Eddie (Robbyn), Rodney and Marty Byrd; special niece LaToya (Clifton) Kirkman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Ruth Byrd and sister-in-law Crystal Byrd. The funeral service will be 11 am Friday, July 15, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 1030 Midway Boulevard, Ypsilanti with Rev. Rodger Hill officiating. Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens. Contributions in her memory may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service where the family will receive visitors 5-8 pm Thursday at Stark Funeral Service and at the church from 10 am until time of service Friday.
