Lizzie M. Simmons and Franklin Eugene Larrabee were married at the Baptist Church in Hudson, Middlesex County, Mass. on 14 April 1883. Their son, Ernest Alonzo Larrabee, was born on 29 April 1884 in Marlborough, Mass. He died only one year after his mother and is buried at Rocklawn Cemetery, Marlborough. Sadly, her husband, (Franklin) Eugene Larrabee, lost his life in a street car accident on 10 November 1918 in Grafton, Worcester County, Mass., just one day before the signing of the World War I Armistice.

At the time their neice, C. Louise Freeman, married Carl A. Clark in September of 1907, it was Uncle Eugene who gave his niece's hand in marriage. In those days, Eugene and Lizzie lived across Pleasant Street from the Clark family. Their niece, Louise, had been living with her aunt & uncle for much of the time since she arrived in Marlborough from Rockland, Maine. Louise was devoted to her Aunt Lizzie (by marriage) during her very long lifetime. She was perhaps like the daughter that Lizzie never had.
