Hernandez of Pleasanton, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Jourdanton, Texas, at the age of 68 years; was born February 13, 1947 in Campbellton, Texas; was a resident at Assisted Living in Jourdanton, Texas for the past 8 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufino G. Reyes and Toribia Tabares Reyes; daughters, Olga H. Lopez and Mary Esther Hernandez; brother, Jesus T. Reyes; and husband, Fidel Hernandez, Jr. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by daughters, Nancy Luna and Don of Pleasanton, Erlinda Istre and Brad of Erath, Louisiana, and Brenda Hernandez of San Antonio; sons, Richard Hernandez of Poteet, David Hernandez of San Antonio; sisters, Margie R. Garza and Mary Ann Brill of Pleasanton, Sofia R. Casanova of Jourdanton. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. A Rosary Service will follow at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
