James Edward Stinnett, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 10, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He graduated from Maryville High School in June of 1955 and was also a Freemason. He was a great father and grandfather. He was a respected community businessman. He was the founder of Stinnett Printing, formerly known as Printers, Inc. founded in July 1976.
Preceded in death by his parents, Hyldred and Lola Stinnett and brother, Hyldred “Buddy” Stinnett Jr.
Survivors include his children, Son, James Scott Stinnett and daughters, Teresa Allen and Alisa James all of Maryville; grandchildren, Scott Logan Stinnett, Hannah Maria Stinnett and Annaliese Allen; great-granddaughter Kennedie Jamison Burris, Daughter-in-law; Susan Stinnett; sons in law, Tracy Clarence Allen and Ron James; granddaughter in law, Leah Stinnett. Siblings, Drucilla Baker, Barbara Dvorak and John Stinnett; former wife and mother of his children, Ardene Gant Stinnett; multiple nieces and nephews.
James will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home Rev Billy Ray Carrigan officiating. Graveside service and interment 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Dotson Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville (865) 982-6041,
