Timothy Wayne Brewer, 54, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

He peacefully passed away at Seton Hospital in Round Rock, with his family and friends by his side.

Tim was born in Taylor on Monday, Feb. 9, 1959 to Joseph and Gussie Simmons Brewer.

Tim was your typical guy. He enjoyed classic rock music, action movies, and fast cars. But there was nothing “typical” about Tim to us. He was a soft-spoken, kind, strong, and generous man. He spent his life taking care of others, from his Uncle Milton, and his father, to his sister Sherry and his brother Doug.

Tim was always the one who was there for anyone in their time of need. Tim was more than our uncle; he was our brother and our friend. He was a blessing to all who knew him, and his presence will be greatly missed.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sherry Brewer Juranek; and brother, Douglas Brewer.

Tim is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sandy Juranek Sanchez of Round Rock, Clint Brewer of Thrall, Sheila Pausewang of Thorndale, Kristopher Brewer of Austin, Alicha Brewer of Harrison, Arkansas and Owen Brewer of Harrison, Arkansas; and numerous friends.

The family will receive guests at 9:30 a.m. at Lawrence Chapel on Monday, Jan. 13.

A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., with Pastor Ray Dennis officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Lawrence Chapel Cemetery with Clint Brewer, Kristopher Brewer, Don Wallace, David Bounds, Steve Sanchez and Joseph Pausewang serving as pallbearers.

Elgin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
