Sara was a homemaker that liked baking and decorating cakes, along with crocheting and quilting. She got the most enjoyment out of babysitting her grandchildren. Sara was a member of West Willow United Methodist Church.
Surviving her is a son, Keith A. Knight, husband of Terry of Willow Street, daughter Carol L. wife of Robert Risser of Lancaster along with grandchildren; Joseph Risser, Amanda Risser, Kevin Knight and Kelly Knight. Also Sara has 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters; Velma Jackson, Marie Murphy, Erma Baylor, a brother, Clair Murphy and a granddaughter, Christine Marie Knight.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 W. 4th. St., Quarryville, PA at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Monday evening at the funeral home from 7:00 – 8:30 pm and also one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made in Sara’s memory to the West Willow U. Methodist Church, 118 W. Willow Rd., Willow Street, PA 17584 or Hospice for All Seasons, 280 S. Hill Dr., Grantville, PA 17028.
