CLYDE MAURER, WAS INSPECTOR
Clyde L. Maurer, 63, of 260 Meadowlark Drive, Ephrata, died Tuesday at home after a three-month illness of pancreatic cancer, a family spokesman said.
Born in Hegins, he was a son of Mae Hauck Maurer of Hegins and the late Elmer E. Maurer. He was the husband of Geraldine Schreffler Maurer.
A graduate of Bowman Technical School of Clock Repair in Lancaster, he worked for 38 years repairing and refurbishing timepieces.
Until his illness he worked at SMH US Inc. of Lancaster, formerly Hamilton Watch Co., as a quality control inspector.
He was a member of Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, Ephrata.
Surviving besides his wife and mother are two sons, Randy B. of Ephrata and Ronald A. of Lancaster; a daughter, Kristie A., wife of Randy D. Lawrence of Ephrata; five grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn, wife of Junior Kehler of Valley View; and a brother, Robert P. of Sun City, Calif.
