Rosa was born to David and Myrtle Hall Moore. Rosa Lee grew up on her parent's farm on the outskirts of the city. After high school and business training, she was employed by Shell Oil Company at their exploration office in Grand Junction. Rosa Lee was a member of the First Assembly Church of God in Grand Junction, and during this period, she met and married Donald Achttien. After marriage, Rosa Lee and Donald moved to Leadville, CO, where they raised their two children. Energetic and active in the local community, Rosa Lee enjoyed skiing, biking, fishing, and the many other outdoor activities that the Rocky Mountain area offered. In 1997, her husband's work took them to Houston, Rhinelander, WI, Gilette, WY, and then back to Texas where she called Sugar Land home. Rosa Lee enjoyed travel upon retirement, and spent many years exploring with her husband the natural beauty and varied wonders that make up the United States. She was a proud member of The Territorial Daughters of Colorado. A loving, patient, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, with a deep Christian faith, Rosa Lee will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, Donald Achttien; son, Brent Achttien of Watauga, TX; daughter, Lisa Tidwell of Richmond, TX; brothers, Dale and Dean Moore of Grand Junction, CO, and David Moore of New Port, PA; sister, Ramona Gifford, of Henderson, NV; and grandchildren, Kristen and Adam Achttien, and Janelle and Danae Tidwell.
