Gene Leroy Robertson, 69, passed away July 4th, 2016 in Reno, Nevada surrounded by his loving family.

Gene was born in born April 25th, 1947, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Gene moved around most of his life becoming the jack of all trades and worked 36 different fields, even working as a chef for Joe Conforte at the world famous brothel, Mustang Ranch. He mastered them all before opening his own restaurants and a care home for the elderly both in Nice, CA.

Gene retired and moved back to Reno to spend his last years with his grandchildren and to work on his cookbook. Fishing was the greatest passion in his life, largely due to upbringing and shared that passion with many kids along the way. Kathy & Gene were 4-H leaders and active in show rabbits then became active volunteers at Hug High School. Gene was a die-hard Raider fan from 1966 until his death.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Kathleen (Kathy) Robertson, his children Tamra (Cartwright), Tony, Tim, and Katie (Muth), and 15 grandchildren. Gene was preceded by his daughters Angela and Laura (Gamino).

Gene always said, "All you leave behind in this life is memories, make sure you leave the best memories you can. When no one remembers you, then you are gone forever". Gene lived his life to the fullest and left memories with every person he ever met. He will never be gone forever.

A private celebration of life was held.
