Dale Price Barnett, age 71 of Indianola, MS, formerly of Monticello, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. He was born October 17, 1944 in Drew Co. AR to the late Sam Barnett and Annie Mae Holdcraft Barnett.

He was retired from Seark Boats as a parts fabricator and a United States Army National Guard veteran. He was a member and deacon of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola, MS.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, McKenzie Faith Bennett; two brothers, Huey Barnett and Houston LaFay Barnett; and five sisters, Mattie Adcock, Erla Mae Langston, Brooksie Bostian, Beatrice Huff and Annie Lee Lytle.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Linda Stanley Barnett of Indianola, MS; one son, Marlon Bennett and wife Becky of Monticello; one daughter, Jennifer Layton and husband Bryan of Indianola, MS; one brother, Carl Barnett of McGehee; two sisters, Virginia Akins of McGehee and Mary LaCotts of Watson; four grandsons, Gary Lee Strickland, Joshua Bodiford, Caleb Bodeford and GioVannie Bennett; and three granddaughters, Whitney Lee Ann Strickland, Charley Bodiford and Daelynn Bennett.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Cominto Baptist Church. Family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Cominto Baptist Church. Burial in Rash Cemetery. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Home. Online guest book at www.stephenson-dearman.com.
