Benjamin F Carson, 69, died this morning at 7:25 at his home in Liberty township of a complication of diseases. He had been ill about four weeks and on October 1 had undergone an operation at the
Annie M Warner hospital.
The deceased was a son of the late George and Catherine Sanders Carson and was a native of Adams county. Excepting for about 30 years when he was a resident of Franklin county, he resided in Adams County.
Surviving are his widow; Mrs. Katie Smith Carson, and nine children; R Hiram, Raymond,
Mrs. Walter Gantz, Mrs. Albert R Pryor, all of Waynesboro; Mrs. Charles Reck and Earl Carson, of Fairfield, and Hazel, Myrtle and Catherine at home. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services Friday afternoon at 3:00 from the late home conducted by the deceased's pastor the
Rev. Charles M Coffelt, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, Fairfield. Interment in Union Cemetery, Fairfield.
