A Mass of Christian Burial for Lilly Mae Taylor will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Morrow with the Rev. Schexsnayder officiating.
Burial will follow in the church mausoleum.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Taylor, age 86 of Big Cane, passed away on Saturday, July 09, 2016 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.
Mrs. Taylor was a beautician in Big Cane for over 50 years. She loved to bake and cook and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Carlos and Rita Emon Woodson; her siblings, Velma Marcotte, Bertha Woodson, U.L. Woodson, Mason Woodson, Howard Woodson, Carlos Woodson, Jr., and Emily Guidry.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Ray R. Taylor of Big Cane; one son, Don Taylor and his wife Charlotte of Prairieville; her daughter, Kathleen T. Wyble of Baton Rouge; one sister, Rita Mae Darby of Arnaudville; her grandchildren, Jason Wyble, Dana W. Humble, Danielle Wyble, Michael Brandon Taylor and Carlos James Taylor; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Morrow on Tuesday.
