James "Jim" Perry, 63, of Milton, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at the King's Daughters' Hospital Hospice Unit.

He was born July 14, 1943, in Milton, Ky., the son of Forrest and Hulda Wingham Perry. He was self-employed in excavation at his company, Perry Excavating. He enjoyed being with his horses and his grandchildren, and in his garden.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Perry; three daughters, Jackie Goode and Linda Long, both of Milton, Ky., and Beth Ann Smith of Bedford, Ky.; one son, James Todd Perry of Milton, Ky.; one sister, Linda Ginn of Bedford, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Forrest Perry Jr. and Richard Perry.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be at Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to King's Daughters' Hospice.

MILTON, Ky. – James "Jim" Perry, 63 of Milton died in Madison, Ind., on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006 at the Kings Daughters Hospice Unit.

Born in Milton on July 14, 1943 he was the son of the late Forrest Perry and Hulda Wingham Perry.

He was self-employed owning his own company, Perry Excavating, working in excavation until his health wouldn't allow it. He loved his grandchildren. Jim would spend hours with his horses and in his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Perry, Milton; one son, James Todd and his wife Gwen Perry, Milton; three daughters, Jackie and her husband Arnold Goode, Milton, Beth Ann and her husband Matt Smith, Bedford, Linda Long of Milton; one sister: Linda Ginn of Bedford; 11 Grandchildren; one Great-Grandchild

His parents and two brothers, Forrest Perry, Jr. and Richard Perry preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford with Reverend Aaron Snelling of the Mt. Byrd Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Aaron Ginn, Damon Ginn, Chris Perry, Randy Perry, Wayne Garrett, and Merle Westrick.

Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Richmond, Ted Skypack, Kenny Wentworth, Donald Richmond, Bill McDole, and John Shaw.

Visitation will be after 9:00 till the service on Wednesday. Family requests donations to be made to Kings Daughters Hospice Unit. Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford is in charge of arrangements.
