According to some family records Jesse and his wife Peggy Ellen (Margaret) Cox-Sears are buried here.

"Mr. Jesse Sears, aged 103 years one of the oldest citizens of this county, died at the residence of Mr. Alex Collier, in this county, yesterday. He was a member of the M.E. Church for about 80 years, and his children number over 500. Note: This is a Baptist Church and the obituary notes that he was a Methodist -M.E. standing for Methodist Episcopal. Maybe his son-in law was a Baptist? There are Colyer family members buried here.
