Services for Edwin Aubrey Price, 83, who died peacefully at 9:00 am Friday, July 8th at Promise Hospital, will be held at 12 PM, Monday, July 11th at Calvary Baptist Church in Natchez with Rev. Mickey Alexander officiating.

Burial will follow at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS at 2:30 PM under the direction of Laird Funeral Home with Rev. Bendon Ginn officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time July 11th at Calvary Baptist Church.

Aubrey was born May 25, 1933 in Jayess, MS, the son of Plez Aubrey and Vera Mae Price. He was raised in Jayess, but eventually moved to Brookhaven. He graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1951. He then attended Millsaps College and The University of MS. In 1991, he married Dorothy Whitehead of Natchez. Their most favorite pastime was crappie fishing at Deer Park and hanging out with family at The Prices’ Perch at Deer Park.

Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, Plez Aubrey and Vera Mae “Mama Bill” Price; one sister, Caron Warren; and one daughter, Vera Katherine “Kathy” Buckles.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy “Dot” Price; one son, James Frederick “Ricky” Price of Mize, MS; one daughter, Amy Michelle Notarnicola and husband Mike of Ozark, MO; two stepdaughters, Brenda Floyd and husband, Leslie, of Natchez, and Teresa Schneider and husband James of Deville, LA; four brothers, George Price, and wife Chris of Braxton, Billie Price and wife Bama of Terry, Joe Price and wife Pam of Brookhaven, Chuck Price and Laura of Brookhaven; Eleven grandchildren, Eric Collum, Lance Valure, Michael Collum, Aubrey James Price “A.J.”, Evan James Price, Madison Stampley, Andrew Johnson, Travis Slaughter, Josh Slaughter, Lee Slaughter, Dustin Slaughter; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be George Price, Billie Price, Joe Price, Chuck Price, Leslie Floyd, Bobby McCartney, and Kevin Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Andrew Johnson, Aubrey James Price “A.J.”, Travis Slaughter, Josh Slaughter, Lee Slaughter, Dustin Slaughter, Evan James Price, Eric Collum, Lance Valure, and Michael Collum.
