Carrie Baxter Holt, 74, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Life Care Nursing Facility of Columbia.
Services will be noon Saturday at Wayman Chapel with the Rev. Daniel McCanless officiating.
Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Holt will lie in-state Friday at Baxter Bros. Funeral Home in Columbia.
Carrie was born and raised in Maury County, was a cook for Maury Regional Medical Center, IBH Day Care and Maury County Jail and was a member of Wayman Chapel A.M.E.
She was preceded in death by parents The Rev. and Mrs. Boyd and Mamie Baxter; sister Pauline Baxter; infant son Bobby Holt; and great-grandchildren Rodriguez Holt Jr. and Ramaiya Jazelle Holt.
She is survived by sons Carl Baxter, Thessely (Sheila) Baxter Henry Baxter, William "Billy" Holt and Timothy Holt, all of Columbia; daughters Linda, Kayla and Tamara Holt, of Columbia; brothers James B. Baxter, Charles (Patsy) Baxter and Joe (Mable) Baxter, all of Columbia, and William (Frances) Baxter of Tuskeegee, AL; sisters Mary Ann Walker and Lourena Baxter of Columbia; and seven grandchildren Shatiqua Baxter and Rodriguez Holt Sr, Conchetta Holt, Christopher Holt, William and Whitney Holt, and Quarmoneeisha Holt.
