Robert James "Bob" Brieden, age 73 of Devine, Texas passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alma (Haass) Brieden; wife, Shirley Blaschke Brieden; son, Robert James Brieden, Jr.; brother, George Brieden; grandson, Mark Anthony Brown; sisters, Madellyn Smith, Carolyn Manning; four infant siblings.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherri Casias and husband Joe of Devine, Mary Brown and husband Gene of Devine, Lauri Culpepper and husband Gene of Dilley, and Betsy Leal and husband Bobby of Devine; son, Alan James of Honolulu, Hawaii; brothers, Leon Brieden of Texas City; sisters, Rosie Jay of Devine, Catherine Lindsey of Salado; grandchildren, Katharine and Karolyn James, Covey and Cole Duncan, Roger Casias, Samuel and Seth Brown, and Weston, Ryan, and Haylee Leal.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery with interment immediately following.
