Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Greenman, 70, were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Kelly funeral home with the Rev. Edward Lee of the Methodist church officiating. Interment was in the Tracy cemetery.
The rural Tracy woman, who was fishing on the inlet of Lake Shetek Memorial day with her son Earl and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Greenman, became suddenly ill and was rushed to a Tracy hospital. She was dead upon arrival. Death was due to a heart attack.
Edna Drake Greenman was born Jan. 8, 1887, in Holly township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian F. Drake and spent her entire life residing on the farm. On Jan. 28, 1905 she was married to Charles Dennison Greenman of Slayton to which union seven children were born.
Since the death of her husband in 1947, Mrs. Greenman lived on the farm with son Earl southwest of Tracy.
Children who survive are: Mr. Earl Root and Mrs. Henry Visker, both of Citrus Heights, Calif.; Mrs. Earl Chet Bedow, Orangeville, Calif.; Earl Greenman, Garvin; Mrs. A.A. Daniels and Mrs. Ira Alexander, both of Tracy, and Ray, also of this city.
A step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Samuelson of Tracy, also survives, besides three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Jennings of Balaton and Mrs. Alice Phillips and Mrs. Mabel Rykhus, Tracy. Besides the seven children, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were: Morris Phillips, Marvin and Albert Drake, Clyde and Orvy Greenman and Harold Rykhus.
