Jessie S. Ambrose Homemaker Jessie F. Snead Ambrose, a homemaker and retired clothing factory worker who lived for nearly 30 years in Reisterstown, died of pneumonia Wednesday at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. She was 82 and had suffered for several years from emphysema.
Mrs. Ambrose was born in Staunton, Va., and moved to Reisterstown in the late 1960s with her husband and daughter. She retired from the Oakland Clothing Factory, Baltimore, in the 1970s. She moved to Berlin to live with her daughter and son-in-law about a year ago.
She devoted most of her free time to her family, although she was past president of the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 122 in Randallstown.
Her husband, George D. Ambrose, died in 1978.
Services were to be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, Pa.
Surviving are a daughter, Bettie L. Engel of Berlin; two brothers, Hans ford Snead of Littlestown, Pa., and Donald E. Snead of Chehalis, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
