Cleveland was born on July 22, 1953, in Rayville, LA to Abbie Allen and Woodrow Perkins. As an adult he worked for most of the plants in the Texas City, Texas area. Later his last job was with Gulf Greyhound Park. Cleveland loved to play darts, dance, and go on trail rides with his friends.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Wilson, Johnny Allen, George Allen, Ronnie Allen and Rosie Flood.
He leaves with cherished memories his wife, Ella Allen; children, Dimetris Kelly (Kevin), Nedra Allen both of Galveston, TX; Cleveland Allen Jr. (Tamisha) of Houston, TX, and Clifton Allen (Marva) of Webster, TX; six grandchildren; siblings, Annie Alexander, Rosetta Hayes, Barbara Carroll all of Rayville, LA, and Charles Allen of Monroe, LA; a host of half brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers are, Cleveland Allen, Clifton Allen, Terry Sledge, Duane Crear and George Allen.Serving as honorary pallbearers are Brice West, Cole Allen, Tate Allen and Ziggy Allen

A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2016, in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
