Jerry Latshaw, 78, life-long resident of Ross township, died at his home in Rossville last Friday. He was born and reared on a farm a half-mile east of the old West Point school house, the son of Isaac and Barbara Latshaw. The family was a large one, and included Samuel, Aaron, Stephen, Michael, John, Jeremiah, William, Jesse, Lucy, and Mary. But one is surviving - Jesse, who lives in the state of Washington. Isaac Latshaw was a nurseryman, and for a number of years supplied the people in his territory with fruit trees and evergreens. He was an Adventist, and was so convinced that the world was coming to an end that he actually had the date set a time or two. Daddy Latshaw came to an end, but the old earth is still turning 'round.
