Albert Dominicus Otto, 89, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1915 in St. Anthony, MO, the son of Joseph J. and Anna Angeline Rehagen Otto.
He was married on Nov. 20, 1941 in Dixon, MO to Minnie Ellen Helton who died on Aug. 26, 1993. He was married on July 21, 1994 in Jefferson City to Liguora Rosella Boillot who survives at the home.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW-II, serving in the South Pacific with the 207th Ordinance Company as an automotive inspector. He was awarded two bronze service stars in the campaign of New Guinea Bismark Archipelago.
Following his discharge from the Army, he worked as an automotive mechanic in Dixon. He served with the National Guard from 1947 to 1949. He was chief inspector with the maintenance division of the Civil Service at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO until he retired in 1973.
He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral where he served as an usher for many years.
Other survivors include two sons and their wives, Dennis and Katie Otto, Carmel, Ind.; and Dwain and Wilma Otto, Stoutland, MO; and one daughter and her husband, Mary Ann and Bobby Mayo, Phoenix, Ariz.; two stepsons, Jack Boillot, Springfield, MO; and Bill Boillot and his wife, Margaret, Abilene, Kansas; one step-daughter and her husband, Judy and Ken Holzem, Linn; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Otto; three sisters, Tillie Alexander; Hattie Otto; and Rosaline Otto; and two half-brothers, John Otto and Henry Otto.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Thomas E. McGrath officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
