Roger Patterson's claim to fame was his 1967 filming of a supposed Bigfoot (Sasquatch) near Bluff Creek in Northern California. Although the footage was never validated to be proven conclusive evidence of Bigfoot's existence. It was never disproved either. It remains unsolved. Patterson passed in 1972 after a lengthy battle with stomach cancer. The only other witness to the filming of the creature is Bob Gimlin the only living witness who was present the day the film was shot. Gimlin swears it was not a hoax, and currently attends Bigfoot conventions in defense of the films authenticity he is 83.Patterson is survived by his wife Patricia.
