Jesse married the former Maxine Brown on October 24, 1981, who survives. They enjoyed 34 years of marriage. Also surviving are his three daughters, Kristin (Scott) Ploehn, Autumn (David) Tendziegloski and Shelly (John) Stovall; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Alice) Morgan; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Morgan and Donna Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, James Morgan and Ernest Morgan.
Being from the south, Jesse loved country music. He was also a classic car fanatic. He took great pride in showing off his 1981 el Camino at car shows. Jesse was a very loving person, always willing to help others in need. He enjoyed working outside and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church for many years.
A memorial service to celebrate Jesse's life will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice .
