She was born to Antonio and Giuseppina (Pina) Sordi.

Mom met her husband, Patrick Murray, in Trail and they were married in June of 1948. Together they raised four children. Mom was a manager at Eaton's Department Store in Trail for many years. Mom and Dad moved to Sidney, BC during their early retirement years but came back to Trail to be close to family. Together they spent many wonderful years fishing at Kootenay Lake.

Mom's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a fantastic cook and we will all miss her wonderful Italian family dinners. Mom was a great knitter and crocheter and she loved singing, dancing and getting together with her friends for a game of cards. She really enjoyed her time spent volunteering at the hospital until her illness forced her to 'retire'.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Caron (Roland), sons; Patrick (Annie), Gary (Ann) and Gordon (Reanne), grandchildren; D'Arcy (Pam), David, Braeden, Helen, Jeff, Nick, Emma and Chloe, great-granddaughters; Emma and Megan, sisters; Eva Olsen and Toni McLuckie, her brother Leo Sordi and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick, her brother Sergio and sister, Anna O'Shea.
