Bergithe was the daughter of Lars Ignatius Kaas and Albina Bertine Falk Kaas of Norway. Her paternal grandfather was Axel Kaas.
Some of her siblings were; Melina (born 1870), Arel (born 1872), Harold (born 1874), Alben (born 1877), Clara (born 1880), and Carl (born 1882).
For a time Bergithe lived in Dubuque, Iowa where she worked as a milliner just as she had in Omaha for many years. When Bergithe lived in Omaha, Nebraska, she had a hat shop which was listed in the 1940 city directory. The address of her store was 201 Karbach bldg. which was the same building where her brother Alben had his jewelry store.
Burial date July 8th, 1954.
