Velma McDowell Parker, 77, of Ringgold went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 7, 2016. She had lived in the East Ridge area for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She was previously employed with Dillard’s as a Sales Consultant and loved singing Karaoke. She was a true people person and loved spending time with her family & friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel John & Martha Ann McDowell and brother, John McDowell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
