Larkin Thorndyke Trull (1857-1941), age 84, of Lowell, Mass., and long-time winter resident of San Mateo died here Wednesday. His death has cast a gloom over the community, where he was so highly esteemed by all classes.

Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Davis Chapel, with Rev. O. A. Newlin, of the Presbyterian Church of San Mateo, officiating, assisted by Rev. J. C. Sims, of the First Baptist Church here.

Mr. Trull was a great benefactor of the town where he maintained a winter home and owned considerable citrus property. He was keenly interested in all the religious, civic and social activities of the community and was ever most generous in their support.

He is survived by his nephew, H. Bailey Trull and family, with whom he has made his home the past number of years.

Two brothers, Edward W. Trull and Loring L. Trull, and several nephews and nieces, all of Massachusetts, also survive him. His wife's death occurred just a year ago at their home in San Mateo. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dated Friday, 4 April 1941.)
