He was a proud Army veteran and our hero. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of 48 years. He served the Lord with the deepest most humble passion. His golden heart was always thinking, serving, praying and doing for others. He was married to the love of his life for 62 beautiful years. He had so much to be proud of but, his pride and joy was his family, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. They were his everything and he was ours.
Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Mamie Smith Burton; brothers, Red, Howard and Bill Burton; sisters, Margret Rice and Johnnie B. Aaron.
