Sidney J. (Buck) Brandon, Jr., of Dundas, VA, son of Sidney J. Brandon, Sr. (Deceased) and Lorena L. Brandon, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2016. He is survived by his wife Amelia, sons Jordan (and daughter Brooke), Jon and wife Melissa (and daughters Grace and Charlotte and son Theo), daughter Lucy Willson and husband Jim, brother Bruce Brandon, and sister Beverly Brandon Miller. He was preceded in death by his son Justin. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School and Virginia Tech University and was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U. S. Army. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to Brunswick County and became a widely known tobacco farmer and entrepreneur. Sidney was an avid fisherman, successful businessman, and devoted family man. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, 683 Macedonia Rd., Blackstone, VA 23824. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church or Dundas Baptist Church.
