Deborah Jean Cross age 65 passed away on June 30, 2016 at Mercy Hospital of Muskegon. She was born November 23, 1950 in Ludington to the late Marvin E. (1925-1985) and Florence M. (Burke) Cross (1929-1998).
She graduated from Ludington High School. Deborah worked as a bus driver and dispatcher for Ludington Mass Transit for 10 years, retiring in 2010 as well as owned and operated 4th Ward Market for 16 years, retiring in 2000.
Deborah was also a member of St. Simon Church and she enjoyed reading and being on her computer.
She is survived by her lifelong partner; Laura E. Carter, sisters; Terri Bussa and Cathy (Wayne) Siddall, nephews; James (Julie) Bussa, Timothy Bussa, Jeff (Jessie) McClellan, Edward McClellan, nieces; Candra Archbold, Jennifer Bussa, Kayla McClellan, Lisa (Liam) Meehan, great-nieces & nephews; Dakota Bussa, Kira Bussa, William Meehan, Jack Meehan, Ciaron Meehan, Ellie Meehan, Malia McClellan, Trevor Lessard, Damien Grant, good friends; James (Sally) Carter, Matt (Kristen) Carter, Nicole (Marc) Buckland and numerous others.
Deborah was preceded in death by her brother-in-law; James E. Bussa.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at 11:30AM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington with Celebrant Father Wayne Wheeler. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:30AM until time of service. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington.
