The Oil City Derrick - Wednesday, January 23, 1952 Shippenville RD Resident, 88, Dies Bernard (Barney) Fasenmyer, 88, died early Tuesday evening in his home in Shippenville RD. Born August 16, 1863, in Knox Township, Clarion County, he was married (April 23, 1891) to Frances Hargenrader, who preceded him in death June 19, 1931. One of the oldest members of St. Michael Church, Fryburg, he helped build the church in his early life. He was the oldest member of St. Michael's society. For many years, he was secretary and treasurer of Farmers Mutual Wind and Storm Insurance Company of Marble. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs Adelaide Schill and Mrs. Ida Zacherl, both of Lucinda, Mrs. Martha Smith, of Bradford, Mrs. Gertrude Deitz, of Fryburg, and Mrs. Bernice Hartle, of Marble; two sons, Ira Fasenmyer, of Polk, and Lawrence Fasenmyer, at home. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alphonso* and Mrs. Joseph Hauer, of Syndersburg; and a brother, Jacob Fasenmyer of Shippenville RD. The body was taken to Faller Funeral Home, Fryburg, and will be removed to the family home this afternoon. *only name noted
