HICKORY ~ Shannon Gail "Penny" Robinson, of Hickory, died Jan. 7, 2004, at her residence.
Born Aug. 8, 1943, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Truman E. and Bessie Estelle Killian Bowman.
A member of Unity Lutheran Church, she was employed by King Hickory Furniture Co.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kevin Robinson, four brothers, Leroy Bowman, Don Bowman, Thel Bowman and Ivan Bowman, and a sister, Catherine Bowman Bumgarner.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Steven Robinson of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Steven and Alice Robinson of Connelly Springs, a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Jamie Schwartz of Hickory, five sisters, Zelda Eckard of Gillette, Wyo., and Ruby Hall, Shirley Shannon, Jane Parsons and Janette Beach of Hickory; a brother, Brady Bowman of Hickory, a grandson and his wife, Michael and Candice Robinson of Hickory; three granddaughters, Lydia Robinson of Hickory, and Candace and Heidi Robinson of Connelly Springs; and two great-grandsons, Kevin and Kaden Robinson of Hickory.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Unity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park.
