Harry J. Raisleger, age 77, of 632 S. Main St., Mishicot, died
unexpectedly Tuesday, October 3, 2000, at Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center, Manitowoc.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October
7, 2000, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot with the Rev. John
Neuser officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery, Mishicot.
Harry was born March 7, 1923, in Stangelville, to the late Joseph and
Mary Anderle Raisleger and has been a Mishicot resident since 1950. He
attended Kewaunee High School. He married the former Lucille Strouf,
April 18, 1945, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Harry was a
well known area cheese maker for the former Mutual Diary and later was a
milk bottler for the Kornely Dairy in Kingsbridge. He then worked as a
field person for the Golden Guernsey Dairy and later for Branch Cheese.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, the Knights
of Columbus, Holy Cross-Tish Mills Council 4807, where he served as
Grand Knight for nine years, the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 1190,
and was also a member of the Wisconsin Czechs. He and his wife, Lucille
since 1975, enjoyed visiting the homebound and hospitalized patients.
Harry enjoyed gardening and refinishing antiques.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lucille; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Mary and John Hughes, Kenosha, Anne and Kenneth Basken,
Colona, Ill.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mary
Raisleger, Dellwood, Minn., John Raisleger and his wife, Becky Kocian,
Random Lake, Wis., Paul and Julie Raisleger, Madison, Wis.; five
grandchildren, Amy Brabender, Nathan, Christopher, and Joel Basken, and
Maxwell Raisleger; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, George and
Frances "Fran" Raisleger, Stangelville, Joseph and Evelyn Raisleger,
Kewaunee, Louise Raisleger, Green Bay; one sister, Bernice Seidl,
Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was
also preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Raisleger; and one
brother-in-law, Robert Seidl.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the Lambert
Funeral Home, Mishicot and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at 6:45 p.m. Friday
at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
