Charles Davis, 71, Marshfield employee; built park water wheel
MARSHFIELD - Charles "Red" Davis, 71, of Marshfield, a longtime employee of the Marshfield Highway Department and builder of the water wheel at Veterans Memorial Park, died Friday at home.
A member of Cornerstone Masonic Lodge in Duxbury, Mr. Davis was a past patron of Rexhame Chatper, Order of Eastern Star.
He enjoyed playing golf and skiing. Mr. Davis was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a lifelong resident of Marshfield, where he graduated from high school in 1939.
He is survived by his wife, Fareeda (Shakir) Davis; four sons, LIVING; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Daniel Webster Masonic Hall, 420 Furnace St., by Rexhame Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Burial will be private.
