Matthew R. Cummings, USMC, 21, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Memorial Health University Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. Loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Native of Grove City, Ohio, Matthew was stationed at the Marine Air Station in Beaufort, S.C. in Aviation Ordinance. He was enrolled at the University of South Carolina. Matthew graduated from Grove City High School in 2000. An avid OSU Sports fan. He was a soccer player and referee in GCKA and MOSSL, loved music and enjoyed the sandy beaches of South Carolina and Georgia with his wife Shannon and son Little Matthew. Survived by his wife, Shannon; son, Matthew; parents, John and Susan Cummings; sister, Melissa Anthony; brother, Michael Cummings; nephews; niece; aunts; uncles; friend, Chris Curry; other numerous life-long and Marine Corp. friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. Funeral Mass Friday, 10 a.m., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City. Fr. John Swickard, Celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery .
