She was the daughter of Harold L. and Miriam A. (Roush) Morris. In Aug 1949, she married Ronald McCoy, who preceded her in death.
Deceased are two brothers: Russell and Bernard.
A 1948 graduate of Lima South High School, she worked for the Lima School Board and then for Westinghouse. She was a loyal member and Sunday School Teacher at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Lima, and attended the English Lutheran Church, Bluffton. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout their lives. They also enjoyed bowling, square dancing, golfing, and "showing the ponies" with their friends at various fairs. She always had her camera with her and chronicled all of their travels as well as the lives of her family. Their slide shows at family gatherings were legendary. She also enjoyed many years as a volunteer at the St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. After retiring, they moved to their winter home in Wickenburg, AZ, and a summer home in Bluffton. As her disease progressed, they returned to Bluffton, and Dorla moved to the Mennonite Home. Ron spent every day with her until he died.
Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, with Pastor Michael Hughes officiating.
