Mrs. Myrtle Cayce Wharton, 75, of 243 Edwards, died a the home of her daughter, Mrs. John William Elps today.
A native of Corpus Christi, she had lived in Laredo during her early life. She returned to Corpus Christi in 1946. She was a member of the Baptist Temple, Rebekah Lodge, and the Purple Heart Auxiliary.
Survivors include one other daughter, Mrs. Alex O. Meerscheidt of Laredo; several stepchildren, including Mrs. Ethel Mae Watson of Corpus Christi; a son R. P. Bledsoe of Henderson, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs. Elza Childers of Corpus Christi and Mrs. James Behee of Rockport; two brothers, Perry Cayce of Kingsville and Jesse Cayce of Corpus Christi, and 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Cage-Mills Funeral Chapel with burial in Seaside Memorial Park.
