Minnie Birks, 86, of St. Charles, died Thursday (Feb. 9, 1995) of natural causes at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Mrs. Birks was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mid-Rivers Baptist Chapel Organization's Joy Fellowship and a charter member of Mid-Rivers Baptist Chapel.
The funeral was Monday at Mid-Rivers Baptist Chapel. Burial was at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Among survivors are one son, Willis Darrell Birks of St. Charles; two daughters, Shelby DuBois of Cottleville and Sandra Sims of St. Peters; one brother, Elmer Maxey of Hudson, Fla.; one sister, Myrtle Gillette of St. Charles; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
