Patricia Ann "Pat" (Amos) Duerson, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 8, 2016 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park with Pastor Mark Simons, Jan Lee Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
Pat was born January 1, 1935 as the first baby born in Wichita County for the year in Wichita Falls, Texas to Thornton E. and Erma Lee (Smith) Amos. She was a 1953 graduate of Wichita Falls High School. Pat married Donald Lee Duerson on August 18, 1952 in Waurika, Oklahoma. She worked for White's Auto for several years and also for Bethania Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 1998. Pat was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park. She loved spending her time working in her garden and enjoying her grandkids and great grandkids whom she loved dearly.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Amos.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Don of Iowa Park; two sons, Mike and his wife, Marilyn of Iowa Park, and Ronnie and his wife, Sheila of Milton, Florida; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Frezon of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; sister, Billie Faye Spitzack of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, T.E. Amos of Burkburnett, Texas; and sister, Linda Amos of Wichita Falls.
