SIDNEY — Carrie Phillips, 89, of Sidney, passed away at 9:11 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Premier Healthcare in Troy.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1926, in Stearns, Kentucky, the daughter of the late George and Frona (Coffey) Worley. On Nov. 3, 1946, Carrie married Gilbert T. Phillips whom preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1999.

Carrie is survived by her four children, Wanda (Jerry) Turner and Ronnie Phillips, both of Sidney, Raymond (Myrna) Phillips, of Eubank, Kentucky, and Ray (Barbara) Phillips of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Evelyn Gibson, Elsie Crisp, Lola Jones, Thelma Jones, Alonzo Worley and Arnold Worley all of Stearns, Kentucky.

Also surviving are Brenda, Jim and Olivia Bowman, Joyce Ann and Harold Dalton, Jureda and Leamon Spradlin, Phyllis and James Winningham, all whom Carrie considered as her extended daughter, sons, grandchildren and sister and brother.

Preceding her in death was two daughters, Hazel Beasley and Janie Phillips, one granddaughter, Cheyene Turner, one grandson, Daniel Hughes, one brother, Homer Worley, and one sister, Lona Godsey.

Mrs. Phillips was homemaker and loved cooking and feeding her guests. Carrie was a true help and a strong right arm to her husband in his ministry. She loved gospel music and was a member of Gloryland United Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Cromes Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with the Rev. James Bowman and Pastor Byron Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
