Donald Fae Quigley, age 86, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina, MO.
Donald was born July 27, 1929 in Shelby County, MO, the son of Everett Quigley and Frances Weatherford. He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Kern on August 12, 1950 in Shelbina, MO. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2007.
Donald is also survived by his four children, Michael Quigley of Shelbina, MO, Mary Jane Zumwalt of Shelbina, MO, Jeffrey Quigley and wife, Suzanne, of Monroe City, MO, and John Everett Quigley and wife, Beth, of Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Eugene Quigley and Milburn “Boonie” Quigley; one sister, Mada Lee Hawkins; and one son-in-law, James Arthur.
Donald worked as a telephone lineman and splicer for a telephone company and owner of a gas station in Illinois. He loved hunting, fishing, and living along Salt River. Later he lived at Salt River Community Care, where he appreciated the help and care from the staff.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Visitation services are Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Burial services will be at the Shelbina Cemetery in Shelbina, MO following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Salt River Community Care.
