Funeral services for Vera Curry Dowe, 80, of Delhi will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 28, 2003 in the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Dr. Marcus Murphy and Rev. Stanley Wallace will officiate. Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Mrs. Dowe died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Houston, TX following a brief illness.
Mrs. Dowe was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. "Bill" Dowe and by her son and daughter, Alton E. Ross and Virginia Ann Fleeman.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Janie Landry of Jarreau, LA, Alton E. Ross Jr. of Lemoore, CA, Joey Ross of Fernandina Beach, FL and A. Carter Mills IV of New Orleans, LA and nine great grandchildren.
