Holly Eugene Cooper, 80, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. He was born in Roanoke, son of the late James Walter and Laura Lee Cooper.

Also preceding him in death were his beloved wife of 36 years, Sylvia Mae Cooper; brothers, Luther Walter Cooper, Charles R. Cooper; sisters, Dora Bell Guffey, Elizabeth Cooper; stepdaughter, Nona Smith; and a very special niece, Amy Leigh Cooper.
Mr. Cooper enjoyed reading, listening to music, fishing, and he loved his dogs. He was retired from H.L. Lawson Company.
He is survived by three brothers, Sam W. Cooper, John E. Cooper, and Robert H. Cooper. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Robert "Tinker" Harless (Betty), Janis Martin (Jimmy), Jean Buckner (George) Carla Buckner (Kenneth), Sereta "Tweety" Beckner (Ronnie), and numerous step grandchildren; great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held noon on Friday, August 14, 2015, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Pastor Michael DuVal will officiate, and interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, www.oakeys.com
