Al graduated from Fairfield High School and Whitworth College and later received his Masters Degree from Multnomah School of the Bible. He served with Young Life in Vancouver, Washington. After 26 years he retired from the State of California where he worked in insurance. He and his wife Sue were parents to three children and five grandchildren. His farming roots were instrumental in his vegetable garden's success. He loved playing sports and was an avid Dodger fan. He was a kind and gentle man who loved God with all his heart.
