Mrs. Lucy Irwin Dead
Mrs. Lucy Irwin, aged thirty years and two months, wife of Van E. Irwin and daughter of Mr. H.A. Jackson of Cameron, died at the family home in Nolanville, Tuesday, March 2 and was buried in Cameron Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Irwin was a native of Milam county but had lived at Nolanville practically all her life, having been raised by her aunt, Mrs. M.A. Short, following the death of her mother when she was two years of age.
She was married to Van E. Irwin on March 2, 1919, just on year previous to her death.
Besides her husband she is survived by her father, H.A. Jackson, Pinkney and James Jackson, brothers; Susiana Jackson and Mrs. Hattie Carlton, sisters.
The body was shipped over the Santa Fe railroad to Cameron Wednesday and was received here at 2:30 o'clock and taken in charge by J. H. Sapp, undertaker.
The funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church at Salem of which deceased was a member, Rev. Ira F. Key, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Cameron, conducting the services. Interment was made in the Salem cemetery.
Friends and relatives of Mr. Irwin and family of Mrs. Irwin, deeply sympathize with the sorrowing ones in their great loss.
